IS Data
A team of our section members has been working on the IS Data project for some time now. The aim of the project is to integrate open industrial and environmental data with IS (industrial symbiosis) specific data to allow for the development of diverse resource and data management tools, such as websites, facilitation tools, and research tools.

If you have ideas, discussions or documentation regarding IS cases, industrial process data, or industrial waste and pollution data, please send an email to Ben Zhu (http://is4ie.org/b.zhu@tudelft.nl.) Symbiosis
EIP Wiki
Some time ago, students of the Master of Industrial Ecology at Delft University of Technology started the development of the EIP Wiki, the purpose of which is to address the difficulties of conceptualization and analysis of EIPs and to promote collaboration in the field. The primary function of the EIP Wiki is to generate an dynamic database of EIPs around the world, and to serve as a platform for further research in the field (including theory and practice). Anyone can access the Wiki and contribute. Symbiosis
Dashboard of Industrial Ecology GitHubs
Here you find a list of repositories that are relevant for industrial ecology researchers. Feel free to add relevant content!

This GitHub provides links to repositories useful for input-output analysis, material flow analysis, life cycle assessment, and other resources related to making your codes (and your life) easier!

Anyone can contribute to this GitHub. Feel free to join and share open source tools relevant to students, researchers, and practitioners!
Open resource on consequential LCA
A new open resource on consequential Life Cycle Assessment modelling.

The new website is a collection of examples illustrating how to model consequential product systems in LCA as it is recommended in the ISO 14040 series. It is intended as an open resource for students and the novice LCA practitioner. The site provides free access to information that is often hidden deep within LCA reports or even left out in brief scientific papers to save space

consequential-lca.org is a community resource. We hope that the community of LCA practitioners – and especially students - will contribute further examples of good practice so that the website will grow to show solutions in as many different application areas as possible. Life-cycle
Environmental impacts and material requirements of power generation technologies
Interactive visualization tool for impacts of energy scenarios, made with Tableau Public.

Metabolism of Cities
This website is an open source initiative launched in August 2014 as 'MFA Tools'. It was launched with the purpose of:

Making it easier to get an overview of the publications out there related to Material Flow Analysis.
Allowing researchers to easily (co-) create online Material Flow Analysis projects and share the underlying datasets.
In January 2016 the website was renamed to Metabolism of Cities, to reflect the broadening scope to other methodologies.

All code for this website is hosted on github and we invite programmers to help us improve the website and the online MFA software. But you don't need to be a programmer to help improve this website!

We need help identifying suitable studies, extracting relevant numbers, and presenting the data! We can use help in many forms, and would hereby like to invite anyone to join us.

Specific tasks we need your help with include:
Identification of useful research projects and other studies
Extraction of relevant data and entry into our system
Assistance with visualization of data
Programming work to integrate support of all aforementioned functionality on our website
Any other relevant task you can think of that enhances our project

MRIO data explorer
An open access forum to multi-regional input-output (MRIO) data, focussing on environmental footprints. Results include total environmental pressure including environmental impacts; intensity of environmental pressure per unit economic output; multipliers of environmental pressure per unit economic final demand; footprints of final demand. All results are reported at a common classification to facilitate comparison. Input-Output
EXIOBASE
EXIOBASE is a global, detailed Multi-regional Environmentally Extended Supply and Use / Input Output (MR EE SUT/IOT) database. It was developed by harmonizing and detailing SUT for a large number of countries, estimating emissions and resource extractions by industry, linking the country EE SUT via trade to an MR EE SUT, and producing an MR EE IOT from this. The international input-output table that can be used for the analysis of the environmental impacts associated with the final consumption of product groups.

WIOD database
Release 2016
World Input-Output Tables and underlying data, covering 43 countries, and a model for the rest of the world for the period 2000-2014. Data for 56 sectors are classified according to the International Standard Industrial Classification revision 4 (ISIC Rev. 4). The tables adhere to the 2008 version of the SNA.
Release 2013
World Input-Output Tables and underlying data, covering 40 countries, and a model for the rest of the world for the period 1995-2011. Data for 35 sectors are classified according to the International Standard Industrial Classification revision 3 (ISIC Rev. 3). The tables adhere to the 1993 version of the SNA. Input-Output

Standard Nomenclature?
Can we make our work simpler for new people by starting to move towards a standardised nomenclature for referring to variables?

Attached is an editable document that we could work on (perhaps improve the format as well?) to suggest principle and alternative nomenclature in our community. Input-Output
Metabolism of Islands Data Hub
The Island-IE Section partners with the "Metabolism of Islands" (MoI) community that supports and manages a platform for open access data sharing on islands around the world. Islands
Industrial Ecology Open Online Course
The Industrial Ecology Open Online Course (IEooc) is a collection of web content on industrial ecology background, methods, and applications. It has two purposes: First, to document and explain some of the ‘soft’ knowledge around industrial ecology concepts, methods, data, and applications that is needed to conduct state-of-the-art industrial ecology research. Second, to guide new industrial ecology researchers towards having fun and impact with properly conducted science for sustainability. Life-cycle
