Perpetual Online Conference - Open Call

Due to the impacts of the ongoing Corona crisis and postponements of regular ISIE conferences, the ISIE-SEM section has been hosting a series of monthly online conference sessions since July 2020. The sessions organized so far covered a wide range of SEM research topics and the resonance within the community is very high. By May 2021, more than 1,500 colleagues from across the globe participated in the live online conference or watched the recorded sessions on the ISIE YouTube channel.

With this call, we invite all members of the ISIE-SEM section to contribute to the future success of the perpetual online conference. You have three options to contribute:

  • Propose the program for a full session on a selected SEM topic, including a short description of the content (maximum 300 words) and 3-4 invited presenters (we encourage you to also invite presenters from other ISIE sections and from other academic fields). We will then get in touch with you to discuss details on dates and technical implementation (sessions are organized on Zoom and live-broadcasted via YouTube).

  • Submit a proposal for a thematic session without having fixed the contributing colleagues (you are encouraged to chair and/or present in your proposed session).

  • Submit an abstract (maximum 300 words) for a single presentation only.

In the two latter options, we will help review the incoming session proposals and abstracts to match session topics to abstracts, and provide support to set up and run the session. Please specify which option you are proposing.

We are looking forward to receiving your suggestions and your involvement in the ISIE-SEM perpetual online conference!
