Member Spotlights: Lynette Cheah

Sustainable Urban Systems

Lynette Cheah is an Assistant Professor of Engineering Systems at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and an affiliate with SUTD’s Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. She leads a research team which is interested in pathways towards sustainable mobility, particularly in congested urban environments. Her research develops data-driven solutions to reduce the environmental impacts of passenger and urban freight transport. Recent projects include a study on urban logistics, and mapping of urban-scale commodity flows. Lynette completed her bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Northwestern University, a masters in management science from Stanford, and a Ph.D. in engineering systems from MIT.
