The IPCC's forthcoming Seventh Assessment Report cycle is relevant to sustainable urban systems. The SUS section is hosting an online session from UTC 14:30-15:30 about how the interests of the SUS section and potential synergies with the IPCC Report. The agenda is below:
- Thomas Elliot will introduce the session with a summary of the Sustainable Urban Systems section and the forthcoming IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
- Guest speaker Professor Joana Portugal Pereira will share her experiences as an IPCC author in the Sixth Assessment Report cycle.
- The third presenter will be Professor Yuli Shan, who will will talk about emission inventories and low-carbon initiatives at the city level.
- The last 20 minutes will be for discussion with the attendees.
