I am a researcher at the Peruvian Life Cycle Assessment and Industrial Ecology Network (PELCAN) and an assistant professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). I earned my Ph.D. in Engineering from PUCP University, and my M.Sc. in Industrial Ecology from Leiden and Delft Universities, in the Netherlands. My research focuses on the assessment of the environmental impacts of marine waste, including the development of characterization factors to assess the implications on resource depletion and the development of a methodology to quantify the amount of plastics reaching the coasts from land-based and other sources. I have published in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Industrial Ecology, International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and Science of the Total Environment. I am part of the MarILCA project and the Pacific Plastics: Science to Solutions Network.
Work opportunities at PELCAN – PUCP are available.

A few words about myself
I love both the Andes and the coast, so my two favorite cities are Cuzco, Peru, and Scilla, Italy. Cuzco is a magical city nestled in the Andes, offering breathtaking views and fantastic opportunities for trekking and adventure. Scilla, on the other hand, is a charming Italian coastal town, where you can enjoy stunning ocean scenery and delicious food.
