Dr. Andrea Thorenz
Senior Researcher at the University of Augsburg
Since 2011 Dr. Andrea Thorenz is leading the interdisciplinary research group of the Resource Lab at the Institute for Materials Resource Management at the University of Augsburg, Germany. She is a senior scientist and member of the faculty for mathematics and science as well as member of the centre for climate resilience. After her studies of environmental and socio-economics she worked as a project leader and director of studies in an NGO for Public Health for many years (see www.resource-lab.de).
Andrea's favorite island is Hawaii because she is interested in the island's indigenous culture.
Andrea would like to work more in the field of resilient islands.
