About

Ph.D. student in Energy Systems at UC Davis researching circular economy, life-cycle assessment, energy policy, critical-mineral supply, battery recycling, energy storage, and sustainable transportation.

Details

I am a Ph.D. student in Energy Systems at the University of California, Davis, and a Graduate Student Researcher with the Global South Center for Clean Transportation. My primary research interests include circular economy, life-cycle assessment, energy policy, industrial ecology, and sustainable energy and transportation systems.

My work examines the material, environmental, and policy implications of the global energy transition, with particular emphasis on critical-mineral supply, battery energy storage systems, and electric-vehicle battery reuse and recycling. I use life-cycle assessment, material flow analysis, scenario modeling, data analysis, and GIS to evaluate mineral demand, supply constraints, recycling opportunities, environmental impacts, and policy pathways.

I am a co-author of “Effects of Demand and Recycling on the When and Where of Lithium Extraction,” published in Nature Sustainability. I have also contributed to industry-focused project reports involving GIS-based overlay analysis of mining activities and ecologically sensitive areas.

I hold an M.S. in Energy Systems and an M.S. in Transportation Technology and Policy from UC Davis, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Statistics. This interdisciplinary background strengthens my ability to integrate quantitative analysis, spatial methods, transportation systems, and policy evaluation. I am particularly interested in research that supports equitable, circular, and sustainable energy transitions in both developed and emerging economies.
