About
I am a sustainability professional with nearly five years of experience, combining a background in Mechanical Engineering with an ongoing Master’s in Environmental Engineering focused on process-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). My work in multinational companies such as Arçelik and Ford Otosan has covered EU Green Deal regulations, carbon accounting, and environmental reporting. I am especially interested in industrial ecology and the circular economy, aiming to contribute to humanity’s integration into the biological sphere as a harmonious part of it, rather than an external disruptor.Details
I am a Mechanical Engineer and current Master’s student in Environmental Engineering, focusing my thesis on process-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Over the past five years, I have built a career at the intersection of engineering, regulatory compliance, and sustainability reporting, with hands-on experience in both the technical and policy aspects of sustainability. At Arçelik (Beko Global), I worked as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, monitoring developments under the EU Green Deal such as the Ecodesign and Battery Regulations through APPLIA, CEN-CENELEC, and IEC. I represented the company’s position in international working groups, coordinated compliance monitoring, issued monthly internal bulletins, and tested products for regulatory conformity. I also contributed data to corporate sustainability reports, supporting the integration of GRI-aligned environmental metrics.
At Ford Otosan, I served as an LCA Analyst, conducting product-level carbon footprint calculations in line with ISO 14064, supporting CBAM and EU ETS compliance, and contributing to the environmental sections of the company’s integrated annual report. I gained deep expertise in SIMAPRO for LCA, working on electric vehicles and battery end-of-life studies, while also leading sustainability assessments within Horizon Europe projects.
Currently, I serve as Technology Director at Istek Renewable Energy, where I combine technical documentation, quality control, and business development in the renewable energy sector.
With this multidisciplinary background, I am eager to further expand my expertise in sustainability — from environmental compliance and reporting to circular economy, LCA, and industrial ecology. Ultimately, my vision is to contribute to humanity’s integration into the biological sphere as a harmonious part of it, rather than an external disruptor.
