I am a PhD candidate in Materials Engineering, currently investigating sustainability of steel-based materials and products.
Details
In May 2023 I got my MSc in Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and in November 2023 I enrolled in the Materials Engineering PhD program.
Research Interests
My current research involves LCA applied to the steelmaking industry, particularly concerning secondary steelmaking. The goal of my PhD project is to understand how steel characteristics (e.g. physical, microstructural and mechanical properties) are connected to the material sustainability performances (e.g Carbon footprint, water footprint, raw material consumption)
