About

I am an environmental scientist specialized in assessing the environmental impacts of horticultural production systems, with a particular focus on urban and peri-urban settings. I hold a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technology at ICTA-UAB, under a co-tutorship agreement with the University of Bologna. My research focuses on the sustainability of agricultural systems through the application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), circular economy approaches, and greenhouse gas emission analyses.
Originally from Naples (Italy).

Details

I have bachelor degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II and a master degree in Global Change Ecology at the University of Bologna.
I have recently published two articles based on the results of my PhD:
- Sustainable resource optimization for tomato cultivation in a rooftop greenhouse: an 8-year case study; published on "Agronomy for Sustainable Development" (DOI: 10.1007/s13593-026-01118-6)
- Applying recovered nutrients and pruning waste to enrich and regenerate agricultural soils in urban agriculture: Effects on emissions and yield of spinach and sweet potato; published on "Agriculture Ecosystems & Environment" (DOI: 10.1016/j.agee.2026.110574)

Research Interests

I'm interested in urban agriculture, nutrient circularity, life cycle assessment and soil restoration with regenerative practices.
