Dr. Andrea Paulillo is a Lecturer in Sustainable Chemical Engineering at University College London. He co-founded eLoop, an Italian boutique consultancy firm, of which he is the Managing Partner. In his research and professional activity, Andrea specializes in the methodological development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and its application to conventional and emerging technologies, including for power generation, (nuclear) waste management, low-carbon fuels, and (bio)plastics. To support his research activities, Andrea participated in several successful research grants, including H2020, EPSRC and BEIS, and obtained funding from industry. Andrea has been awarded the prestigious 5-year Research Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) to work in the concept of absolute environmental sustainability. He has been appointed academic consultant to numerous projects for industry and charities. He authored 35+ peer-reviewed articles and 3 book chapters on LCA methodology and case studies.
