About

My PhD work focuses on developing a comprehensive material flow analysis model for Italy's forest sector, encompassing the wood, paper, and energy industries. The study investigates the entire value chain, from forest resources to final product use and recycling, utilizing data from sources such as NFI-2015, FAOstat, Eurostat, ISTAT, and Orbis. You address challenges like varying classifications (NACE, SITC, EU) and limited data on product conversion by integrating classifications and applying the Delphi method. This work aims to enhance understanding of the forest sector's dynamics, improve resource efficiency, and contribute to circular bioeconomy strategies.

Details

In my Ph.D. research, I'm crafting a comprehensive model for Italy's forest-wood sector, focusing on climate change mitigation and bio-energy provision. Examining trade-off impacts and policy scenarios, my work seeks to redefine our understanding of forestry's role. Employing data-driven methodologies, I aim to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals by highlighting the crucial role of forest management in achieving climate targets and optimizing bioenergy use.
I have publish more then 20 publications in different field.
