Details
I am Can Cui, Presidential Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at Singapore Management University. Before joining SMU, I earned a PhD in the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Reliability and Risk Engineering Lab at ETH Zurich. My research is rooted in industrial ecology and focuses on energy and technology transitions, environmental footprints, critical mineral supply chains, and the resilience of global energy and material supply systems. I am particularly interested in connecting industrial ecology with energy systems, global trade, and emerging technologies to understand the environmental and resource implications of the energy transition.
