I am a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. In my PhD research, I am modeling the transition of the tire industry from a linear to a circular economy using system dynamics. The model integrates material flow analysis and life cycle assessment methodologies to bring out useful insights into the policy and environmental aspects of adopting a circular economy.
Details
I did my masters in Environmental Engineering and Management at IIT Kharagpur, India, where I carried out a comparative life cycle assessment of additive manufacturing (3D printing) and conventional manufacturing of metal products. I did my undergraduate in Civil Engineering, where I developed my interest in the field of waste management, environmental policies, etc. Quantification of the impacts of human activities on the environment (in so many different ways) is something that I love the most.
