About
I carry out research at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (USA) with a focus on process design, process simulation & modelling, techno-economic analysis (TEA), and life-cycle assessment (LCA) for depolymerization of recycled polymers such as nylon-6 and upcycling of single-use multilayer plastic films into high-value products through an integrated approach that aims to be more environmentally friendly, robust, energy efficient, cost- effective, and scalable. I also work on developing economic and sustainable pathways for recovery of biochemicals such as 3-hydroxypropionic acid and conversion into products of commercial interest.
Research Interests
Process simulation, modelling, techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment for valorization of biomass and waste plastics into value added products
