Sofie Férauge was born in Brussels, Belgium. In 2022, she obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering: Materials from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. In the fall of 2022, Sofie started as a PhD student in the Sustainability Assessment of Materials and Circular Economy research group at KU Leuven. Her research is mainly focused on modeling material flows in (parts of) society to estimate the possible effects of different future scenarios of evolution in regulatory, economic and technological changes. Aside from science, she is interested in pottery, botany and listening to audiobooks.
