About
Dr. Xiao Li is a Professor at School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), China. His research and teaching focus on environmental and resource policy and management, industrial ecology, circular economy, waste management, and evidence-based decision making. His research advances the multi-disciplinary understandings of the development of a green, low-carbon, and circular economy at multiple scales, across multiple pollutants, and from multiple dimensions. He has carried out many studies and projects at the interface of economics, policy, management, and sustainability in China, the US, and Europe. He is the recipient of the Young Professorship Award of XJTU and the Young Scholar Award of the Chinese Society for Industrial Ecology.Prof. Li has been an active member in international and Chinese academic communities. He was elected President of the Student Chapter of the International Society for Industrial Ecology (2013-2014) and Board Member of the Chinese Society for Industrial Ecology (2019-2021). He serves as an Editor for the Journal of Industrial Ecology and a Youth Editorial Board Member for the Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering.

Promoting Journal of Industrial Ecology (JIE) through social media in China
Since 2019, Dr. Li has built and led a team of over 30 volunteers to promote JIE through social media in China. The team creates and publicizes digests for about 120 JIE articles through WeChat every year, winning a wide readership among Chinese-speaking students, scholars, and practitioners.
