About
I like to introduce myself as a socioeconomic development practitioner since I have been working mostly in socioeconomic development sector with national and international NGOs and consultancy firms at home and abroad for more than last 18 years.I am well experienced in market assessment (i.e.: value chain analysis, business development service assessment, participatory community appraisal and many more qualitative and quantitative research methodologies) in both urban and rural settings with proven skills in data analysis and extensive report writing. Business/enterprise development (M4P), linkage creation among market actors - be it business-wise or philanthropic and identifying and/or addressing social disparities involving gender, children and minority groups in both urban and rural environment; designing innovative and pragmatic social safety net approaches and direct support methods to the target groups (i.e.: micro-insurance, changing facet of micro-credit, asset transfer, voucher, etc.) are other areas of my professional knowledge and skills.
I have been rendering consultancy services at the capacity of chief adviser, strategic adviser, national and international consultant to projects funded by DFID, USAID, EU, SDC and many others. At the end, the goal has been always to alleviate from poverty and mainstreaming the disadvantageous group in developing countries.
To complement my development sector experiences I also have a brief private sector orientation history. And, I have a Master degree in International Relations from University of Dhaka and Environmental Science and Management from North South University, Bangladesh.
