Degrees & Certification: B.S. in Geographic & Environmental Sciences, Liberal Studies B.A. of Public Policy & Industrial Ecology, Applied Geospatial Tech certificate, Poly Sci minor in pre-law. 2022. Senior Policy Fellow & Board Member with the Commonwealth Policy Coalition in Kentucky. Current MPP candidate at UCD.

Business interests: My current interests are just transition, innovation translation, nature-based solutions and sustainable economy. I hold a pending patent for a low cost cumulative water sampling device I am looking to license in the US. Also looking for opportunities to transfer tech from Kentucky to Ireland or U.K. for upcycling spent grain waste into new products while reduce emissions and replacing or increase the revenue.

Employment interests: Evidence-based policy development, negotiation, general law & policy Environment specific: sustainable innovation, environmental law & policy, field research and geospatial applications, sustainability & consulting.

Key experiences as of 2022:
Founding a university-based think-tank working with state & federal officials, which included a faculty-involved certification program for policy fellows from undergraduate to upper levels & introduction of multiple independently authored bills to state legislature; Representing a small renewable energy business before Congressional committee staff in policy negotiation; Conducting mentored and independent research ranging from sustainability policy and institutional research to environmental analysis and applied geography; Thesis to develop satellite-based water balance models for integrated water resources management in the an area of World Bank-funded efforts in Peru, and gage local capacity to partner with interdisciplinary university for data-driven decision making; Aquaculture research to verify circular economy potential between agriculture, aquaculture, vermiculture, distilling, and biofuel; Field research, GIS, drone piloting; Institutional research that informed design of the University of Louisville’s Center for Engaged Learning, strategic plan development for implementation of bio-renewables.

I am currently at University College Dublin as a George Mitchell Scholar. Originally from Kentucky/United States, where I am a University of Louisville alumnus.
