I work as a (non-permanent) Senior Scientist at the Institute of Social Ecology, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria and greatly enjoy research, teaching, teamwork, new collaborations, exchange of ideas and being outdoors. I am very passionate for my work as an opportunity to do contribute to the quest for strong sustainability and a fairer & better future. However, I am also deeply worried about the ongoing growth in bad news: from climate change/IPCC, resource use and societal wellbeing/UNEP-IRP, biodiversity loss/IPBES, to publish or (and?) perish.

For most recent infos about my work, please see my google scholar, researchgate & official work profile:

Research Interests

Sustainable consumption and production; socio-economic metabolism; material, energy and carbon footprinting; dynamic economy-wide material and energy flow analysis; input-output analysis; socio-ecological transformation; circular economy; absolute reductions
