About

Dr Kasper Lange is a senior lecturer and researcher for the Circular Design and Business research group within the Faculty of Engineering of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). With grants from AUAS and the Netherlands Scientific Research Organization (NWO), he completed his PhD at TU Delft. The dissertation shows how companies and students can learn from games and simulations while developing robust circular business models.
Kasper currently furthers his research on how combinations of technologies, behaviour, business models and policy interventions can ensure the reuse of urban materials and products. He focuses mainly on developing digital simulation models and serious games that help stakeholders (companies, citizens and governments) develop circular solutions. He considers actor behaviour, social structures and policy frameworks in doing so.
Kasper is also a senior lecturer at the MSc Urban Technology, where he teaches Design Science Methodologies and Systems Engineering for the Circular Economy transition.
