Details
I completed PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India, in January 2024. My thesis title is "Urban Water Circularity: Strategies and their Prioritization". My academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, followed by a master's degree in Environmental Engineering. My fascination with the environment and water led me to pursue a doctorate in the water sector. My areas of interest include Circular Economy, Urban Water Management, Material Flow Analysis, Life Cycle Thinking. During my doctoral studies, I focused on implementing Circular Economy principles in the water sector, utilizing the 6Rs strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Reclaim, Recover, and Restore). One of the key outcomes of my research was the development of a Water Circularity Indicator, which serves as a metric to assess the circularity of a given region. Additionally, an in-depth analysis was conducted on water consumption patterns in Mumbai, comparing per capita water consumption with city-level data to identify areas for improvement. Prior to pursuing my PhD, I gained valuable experience through three years of work in academia and one year in a consultancy firm. I am presently located in Florida, USA and searching for postdoc positions to contribute to the water sector through the knowledge that I have gained through my PhD work.
