Doctoral student at Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). I'm member of the Sostenibilitat i Protecció Ambiental (Sostenipra) research group, working in the Integrated System Analysis
of Urban Vegetation and Agriculture (URBAG) project. My research is about the use of municipal solid waste and other organic resources of the city as alternative fertilizers for urban agriculture, under a circular economy and urban metabolism context.

Details

I hold a BSc in Environmental Studies from the Florida State University (FSU) and a MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP). I recently obtained a MSc in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability with a specialization in Industrial Ecology from the ICTA institute at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

Solid waste management; organic municipal solid waste compost; alternative fertilizers; recovery of nutrients; urban metabolism; circular economy; life cyclce assessment (lca).
