Hatzav Yoffe is a registered landscape architect in Israel (ISALA) and a research fellow for Buildings and Climate Change at Tel Aviv University and the World Economic Forum. Dr. Yoffe holds an M.LA from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2013), a B.LA and a Ph.D. from the Technion - IIT (2009, 2022), and a Postdoc Fellowship at the University of Toronto (2023). His practice and research work integrate knowledge of urbanism, ecology, technology and landscape systems. In his P.hD dissertation, Yoffe developed a computational framework and tool to measure sustainability performance in early project designs. Dr. Yoffe currently studies climate-aware strategies for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in the built environment. Other research interests include agriculture landscapes, civic infrastructure, brownfield development and computational design.
Yoffe is the co-leader of the SLIL™ initiative, Israel’s first sustainability rating system for landscape development.
