Dr. Annick Anctil's research focuses on Sustainability and Energy Systems. The primary objective of her research is to evaluate the environmental impact of energy production, particularly for solar photovoltaics and battery technologies. She uses life cycle assessment to identify critical steps in current technologies and guide greener alternatives by combining theoretical and experimental environmental assessment. In addition to energy technologies, she provides sustainability expertise on projects related to sustainable infrastructure, plastic recycling, and industrial decarbonization. She is the assistant director of the DOE-MSU Industrial Assessment Center.
