About

I joined the competence center “Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems” at Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI as a senior researcher in 2018. My research focus is on the quantification and depiction of raw material cycles and their development over time on global and regional scale. This includes the analysis of recycling flows with recycling rates and identification of current barriers and further potentials but also the relationship between raw material supply and demand, especially in the context of future technologies and questions of supply security. The research work is always embedded in the discussion around sustainability and circular economy and the connected system transformation.

Research Interests

- Dynamic material flow analysis
- Sustainability and circularity aspects in raw material cycles
- Prospective demand and supply scenarios
- Recycling technology
- Raw material criticality, resource efficiency and security of supply
