Architect and researcher with over 20 years of experience in sustainable urban development and building rehabilitation. Research Fellow at IN+ (Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa) and PhD candidate in the MIT Portugal Program, with a thesis developing the Carbon Circularity Method, an integrated framework combining embodied carbon assessment and circular economy principles for the refurbishment of existing buildings. Developed a BIM plugin for automated sustainability and circularity evaluation at the building scale. Professional experience includes strategic planning for UNESCO heritage sites, public-private partnerships, and historic city centre rehabilitation. Currently serving as Technical Officer at the City of Porto, contributing to urban planning procedures.
