About

I am working as a senior researcher in the field of Environmental Analysis and -Documentation at the Norwegian Institute of Wood Technology.
I have been working on my postdoc at Chalmers University of Technology, Department of Technology Management and Economics in the Environmental Systems Analysis group. I was involved in; 1) EU funded project (H2020) called ORAMA, Optimising quality of information in RAw MAterials data collection across Europe. 2) LCA of batteries in Electrical Vehicles.

I used to work as a Consultant at The National Institute of Technology, Norway. I have been involved in projects funded by The EU 7th Framework Programme, and also in several proposal writing for Horizon2020, in the field of Environmental Engineering and Industrial Ecology.

I hold my PhD in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, was working with sustainability issues in the aluminium industry. Industrial Ecology deals with sustainable development and studies the past, present and future of this paradigm using a set of tools - Material (and energy) Flow Analysis (MFA), Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), and Risk Assessments (RA). The PhD thesis is titled 'Dynamics of aluminum use in the global passenger car system - Challenges and solutions of recycling and material substitution'.

I bagged a MSc degree in Environmental Engineering from the Luleå University of Technology (LTU) in Sweden in 2009. In this course, subjects included, inter alia, GIS, urban water systems, waste management, sustainable transport, risk assessment, energy efficiency and recycling. I rounded off the Masters degree with a thesis titled ‘Estimation of pollutant loads transported by runoff by using a GIS model’, and completed the course work in a master programme of Spatial Planning at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden.
