I am committed to make the world a better place through engineering. I am an environmental engineer with a focus on sustainability and industrial ecology, whose research examines the environmental impacts of consumer products using different tools such as life cycle assessment, techno-economic analysis and multi-criteria decision analysis.

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a minor in Sustainability. I work as a research assistant in the Sustainability and Emerging Technology Research Group lead by Dr. Andrea Hicks. My research focuses on evaluating the environmental impacts of engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) and finding ways to mitigate the impacts associated with their lifecycles. I use life cycle assessment (LCA) and systems thinking approach while assessing the environmental costs of these novel materials. I am also working on developing freshwater ecotoxicity characterization factors for the selected ENMs to combine nano-specific impacts with non-nanoscale emissions resulting from each lifecycle stage (raw materials acquisition, manufacturing, use and end-of-life). I have conducted several LCA projects for consumer products where I gained experience in environmental modeling and sustainability.
