I am a researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna. My research focusses on society-nature interactions and their interdependences. I work on understanding social metabolism, in particular the role of material stocks and material and energy flows and on assessing the potentials of Circular Economy strategies for achieving a future with more sustainable resource use patterns.
