About

I combine professional experience in architecture with research on sustainable urban development (Ph.D in Sustainable Energy Systems, MIT-Portugal Program, University of Coimbra). I have participated in several R&D projects, mostly focusing on the life-cycle assessment of urban systems (e.g., buildings, transportation), urban metabolism, circular economy, and waste prevention and management. Currently, I am a Research Fellow at the Join Research Centre of the European Commission.
