Dr. Feng is an Associate Professor at University of Maryland College Park. His research focuses on energy, carbon, water, and land accounting at different spatial scales (local, national, and global). His expertise is in spatial ecological-economic modeling with regards to sustainable production and consumption, sustainable supply chain, life-cycle analysis, and scenarios analysis. He has published more than 90 articles in high impact scientific peer-reviewed journals, including PNAS, Nature Climate change, Nature Communications, Nature Sustainability, Global Environmental Changes and many others, on the topics such as water footprint and virtual water flows, carbon outsourcing, consumption-based land use, environmental inequality etc. He served as reviewer for more than 20 scientific peer-reviewed journals. He also serves as associate editor, guest editor and editorial board member for several international peer-reviewed journals. He has received funding support from many national and international agencies such as the European commission, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, Energy Foundation Beijing Office and National Natural Science Foundation of China.
