Qiao-Chu Wang graduated from General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals (GRINM) in 2018 with a Doctor Degree in Material Science and Engineering, and currently works as Associate Professor in the Institute of Urban Environment (IUE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Meanwhile, Dr. Wang also serves as Deputy Secretary General in the Environmental, Economic and Policy Committee of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths (CSRE). His research interests include material flow analysis (MFA), life cycle assessment (LCA), green design, and environmental system engineering. Focusing on the material metabolism and associated ecological environmental influences of non-ferrous metals, he has held and participated more than 10 research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Special (Class A), and Fujian Province Science and Technology Projects. Dr. Wang has published about 20 papers as the first/corresponding author on the academic journals including Environmental Science & Technology. In recent years, he has been dedicated to promoting the sustainable cycling of copper, including developing ten millions-level global copper flows and stocks database and the whole life cycle MFA models, building environmental profiles of China copper products across the entire supply chain, and proposing recommendations on promoting global copper supply-demand balance and low-carbon transition.
