My background is in architecture and urbanism as design practices; architectural and building construction history, especially in the post-war period both US and European; sustainable and resilient urban systems as they are spatialized and offer opportunity for civic infrastructure; and sustainable and equitable small-holder agriculture. I have also done educational and consulting projects with mining communities in Montana (US) and Boke (Guinea); rural agricultural communities in Uganda and Mexico; textile earthquake reinforcing of compressed earth block in the Sahel; and peripatetic packaging waste related to urban food consumption.
