The University of Ulsan is seeking a postdoctoral researcher who will work with Professor Hung-Suck Park from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Ulsan, South Korea, for 3-5 years. Prof. Park has been leading the development of eco-industrial parks (EIPs) in Ulsan and South Korea over the last 13 years and currently conducting projects such as “Methodological aspects of industrial ecology research for the sustainable eco-industrial development in Ulsan metropolitan city (NRF)” and “Application of the Korean EIP model to the Vietnamese industrial complexes for their climate adaptations (KIAT).”

 

Postdoctoral researcher will be affiliated to the International Center on EIP, which will be established at the University of Ulsan, with the support from the UNIDO. The postdoctoral researcher will work on developing theoretical frameworks based on the Korean experiences of the EIP development and applying them to execute ODA projects in developing countries along with UNIDO and IFC. An applicant should have a doctoral degree from a non-Korean institution within the past five years and he/she will need to apply for the Korea Research Fellowship (KRF) for Postdoctoral Researchers for funding up to KRW 70 million per year (including personal costs and living expenses).
