The Yale Center for Industrial Ecology has an open position for a PostDoctoral Associate on the LCA or carbon footprinting of manufacturing in a high value-added industry. The task is to develop a generic modeling approach to the products of a major industrial client with a global production network and to provide analysis that will allow the client to understand better which decisions impact greenhouse gas emissions. The work on advanced manufacturing processes and the generic product class will be of interest to the LCA literature. We are looking for an individual with a background in mechanical engineering, materials, operations research, or industrial ecology, and experience with life cycle assessment.  We expect a strong academic record, the ability to work as a team player and to take on responsibility, and good communication skills. US citizens or residents preferred. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. The job may potentially be combined with that of a lecturer in life cycle assessment.

Please send your application including a cover letter, CV, and two writing samples marked "PostDoc LCA" to edgar.hertwich@yale.edu.
