Faculty Position in Industrial Ecology, University of Victoria

Assistant Professor or Assistant Teaching Professor (tenure-track)

 

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position with expertise in Industrial Ecology such as life cycle assessment, circular economy, industrial symbiosis, climate mitigation, or sustainable production. The successful applicant may be research- or teaching-track and is expected to support our Master of Engineering in Industrial Ecology (MEng-INEC) through a combination of teaching courses in the MEng-INEC program, supervising capstone projects, and acting as Program Director. The successful applicant will be a member of the Civil Engineering Department and is also expected to contribute to teaching in the civil engineering undergraduate program.

Because the position is open to both research- and teaching-track applicants, applications are invited from a variety of backgrounds.

  • Research-stream applicants with potential to strengthen our current research and programming in Industrial Ecology.
  • Teaching-stream applicants with significant industry experience.

The candidate's qualifications, experience and overall market demand will determine a candidate’s final salary offer. The salary for this position includes a competitive salary range of $123,000 - $150,000 UVic is committed to offering an equitable and competitive salary, inclusive of a generous benefits package, eligible leaves and pension plan.
