Dear colleagues,
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Socioeconomic Impact Assessment Group (Department of Economics) at the University of Alcalá in a three-year position within the Horizon Europe project “EPISODE.” The focus of the research will be the sustainability assessment of emerging energy storage systems, a critical and rapidly evolving area in the energy sector. We offer cutting-edge research with a close connection to the European battery research ecosystem, including Batteries Europe, EERA, and the European battery value chain.
Among others, the tasks to be develop within the position are:
- Develop advanced data processing approaches for inventory modelling
- Develop novel impact assessment methods (circularity)
- Connect LCA with real-life electricity generation data for use-phase optimization
Alcalá de Henares is a historic city and UN heritage site located just outside Madrid. Alcalá is known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant community, and as the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, offering a unique blend of history and modern amenities.
