Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), jointly with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, seeks a talented and assertive researcher to lead studies on the local and regional economic and employment impacts of future policies and market actions expanding the circular bioeconomy and other strategies driving toward carbon neutrality at the national and global levels.
We will consider both early-career and mid-career/senior candidates for this position. Candidates should consider applying if they have a Ph.D. degree in economics, agricultural or natural resource economics, or a related discipline, and who have experience working for or collaborating with DOE National Laboratories (or similar R&D organizations), universities, consultancies, and/or industry stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be largely supported by a fellowship for three years from the University of Tennessee – Oak Ridge Innovation Institute (UT-ORII), Circular Bioeconomy Systems (CBS) Convergent Research Initiative (CRI). In short, this is a pretty nice deal.
