Full-time position/visiting fellows at ESM, NSU
The Department of Environmental Science of Management (ESM) at North South University (NSU) began its journey in 1994, establishing itself as a pioneer in tertiary-level education for this niche field in Bangladesh.
The department boasts stellar researchers/scientists, and seasoned academicians in various areas, including Atmospheric Science, Climate Change, Ecology and Catchment Management, Energy/Resource Economics, Environmental Geology and Geophysics, Groundwater Chemistry, Industrial Ecology, Plant Physiology, Water Resource Management, Urban and Regional Planning. The contributions of ESM's experienced faculty members have played a vital role in shaping both national and international environmental policies.
Our finest renewable resources, ESMers have left their mark globally. They've etched their presence as graduate students/researchers/post-doctoral fellows in the world's top 10 universities. They've also excelled as- business entrepreneurs, influential policy advisors, pivotal figures in - development partnerships, apex business associations, and leading NGOs/iNGOs.
ESM is currently seeking to hire new faculty members (Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) in the following specialized areas:
Area 1 - Ecology/Biodiversity Conservation/Forest Management/Natural Resource Management (Masters or PhD)
Area 2 - Economics/Resource Economics/Ecological Economics (only PhD)
Area 3 - Environmental Modeling and Data Analysis (Masters or PhD, with a strong preference for those experienced in machine learning)
Area 4 - Environmental Policy, Law and Regulations (only PhD)
We are also open to receiving visiting professors/fellows within the mentioned fields.
