Opening for postdoctoral fellow for research on biofuel lifecycle assessment, technoeconomic assessment and process modeling in the College of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The postdoctoral fellow will work with Georgia Tech faculty in the School of  Industrial and Systems Engineering and the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, as well as  collaborators at other institutions, on the production of biocrude in an advanced bioreactor-based biorefinery. This is part of a project supported by the US Department of Energy for advancements in algal biomass yield. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field, including experience in lifecycle assessment, technoeconomic assessment and process modeling. Appointment is for one year with possibility of extension. The appointment may be either in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering or in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, depending on the background of the applicant. The start date is as early as September 1 2017. Review of applications will begin on August 1 2017 and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a C.V., a one-page statement of research goals, and a one-page statement of career goals.
