Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions with the Industrial Ecology Program in the Department of Civil Engineering. The incumbents will conduct research on the circular economy (positon 1) or biophysical economics and deep decarbonisation (position 2), supervise MEng student projects in the Industrial Ecology Program, and engage in management of the Program.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in industrial ecology, ecological economics, business, economics, engineering, environmental studies, or similar. They must have research experience in at least one of the following areas –
Position 1: industrial symbiosis, extended producer responsibility, circular economy business models, zero-waste systems, recycling technologies, or material flow analysis;
Position 2: biophysical economics; integrated assessment modelling; economic systems modelling (e.g., using EViews); material and energy flow analysis; complex systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
