IS Programs & Software - TIME SENSITIVE

Tracy Casavant

Hi there - I'm gathering information for Washington State, which is considering formal legislative support for IS (!). I'm looking for up-to-date information regarding the following:

1) IS PROGRAMS - Current or recently concluded systematic efforts to establish and implement IS with reported outcomes, especially of solid waste diverted; ghg emissions reduced / avoided; economic benefits; and/or # IS relationships (or synergies, as defined in the CEN WA). This could also be a policy framework that is driving IS. Could be business-led / focused; driven through research partnerships; part of a 'green' business program; or more, so long as it's system-wide versus just cool but one-off IS examples.

2) IS SOFTWARE - used to support material inventories, track IS outcomes, and even with AI-capability to make potential matches. Could be part of an official program (above) or not. Must be commercialized.

If you know of anything to add, please let me know by Oct 3 - thanks!

Hi there Tracey,

Just a quick note. At Metabolism of Cities we have a platform under development called PlatformU. This provides a resource matchmaking platform to companies to facilitate IS. However, it does so by providing a corporate material flows dashboard, and it uses to corporate data to aggregate up this information on materials and to embed this into an urban / regional MFA. It's still under development and open source software, so I don't think it exactly matches your needs, but if it is of your interest, see the site https://platformu.org/ . Access to the demo site can be provided to you if it helps.

Thank so much  - I took a look at the webage. I'm intrigued! Could you please add me tracy@lhsbc.com to your distribution list as I would like to know more about the results?

Sure, will do Tracy!
