Dr Glenn Aguilar
Title: Circular Economy in Latin America and the Caribbean: Lessons from Ongoing CE Developments
Dr Glenn is a Costa Rican researcher who has developed his career in the sustainability field. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Costa Rica, a Master's degree in Sustainability from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a PhD in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University, the Netherlands.
Currently, he is leading the UNICA project, a Global Marie Curie initiative that explores the transition towards circularity in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on its socioeconomic and environmental implications for the region and the rest of the world.
Dr Glenn specializes in applying industrial ecology tools to address sustainability challenges, aiming to guide decision-makers toward sustainable alternatives. Furthermore, he is committed to teaching and inspiring future generations to adopt sustainable lifestyles.
