The Journal of Industrial Ecology (JIE) awards two annual prizes for best papers. One prize is for a junior author and one for a senior author. The selected papers in both categories are awarded Graedel Prizes, named for Professor Thomas E. Graedel in recognition of his contributions to the scientific development of industrial ecology (IE). Winners receive US $750. This session features the authors of some recent Graedel Prize winning articles summarizing their articles, describing the origins of the research, and the reactions to the articles, and follow-on work.
