Description: The Island Waste Challenges and the Potential for a Circular Economy session will include (a) a one-hour panel discussion with researchers and policy experts on waste situation and circular economy potential in the Caribbean, and (b) offer a networking opportunity to participants and enhance collaborations. The session invites both practitioners and researchers interested in island resource security and sustainability.

Session program:

  • Minute 0-10: Welcome by session chairs (Dr. Bart van Hoof and Dr. Simron Singh)
  • Minute 10-70: Panel “Island Waste Challenges and the Potential for a Circular Economy”, moderated by Dr. John Telesford, Grenada. Speakers are:
