EEIO Frontiers session will present the latest research from the ISIE-EEIO section members. The presentations are not only related to the development and application of EEIO methods and data; there will also be research presentations focusing on pressing topics that provide an opportunity to explore new application possibilities for EEIO. Presentations will last 15 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions and answers.

Session program:

  • Minute 0-5: Welcome by the session chair and introduction to the topic:
  • Minute 5-20: The global carbon footprint of the Australian Capital Territory by Kylie Goodwin (University of New South Wales)
  • Minute 20-35: Input-output based analysis on reactive nitrogen demands in Japanese industry by Kiwamu Katagiri (Tohoku University)
  • Minute 35-50: A framework for mapping supply chain dependence and vulnerability using Environmentally Extended Input-Output (EEIO) models by Shelly Bogra (Indian Institute of Technology)
  • Minute 50-65: Estimating the reduction potentials of household carbon footprint for Japan using the microdata of consumer expenditure survey by Yosuke Shigetomi (Nagasaki University)
  • Minute 65-70: Break
  • Minute 70-85: Estimating Refrigerator waste generation in India by Rohit Panchal (National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai)
  • Minute 85-100: Global mercury trade and use for artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) by Yingchao Cheng (National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan)
  • Minute 100-115: How agricultural water use efficiency varies in China considering unexpected outputs? A spatial-temporal analysis by Xiao Yuedong (Chong Qing University of Technology)
  • Minute 115-120: Break
