It’s time for the global industrial ecology community to reconnect! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 ISIE Leiden conference is postponed to 2023. The ISIE board initiated an online replacement to get updated on latest research, brainstorm new ideas, and meet new and old colleagues while international conference travel is not possible.

The International Industrial Ecology Day 2021 - Global Science for Global Sustainability - will take the global industrial ecology community on a trip around the world. No need for packing, booking accommodation and being on a train or plane for hours. Come and join the Industrial Ecology (IE) Day, ISIE’s first 24-hour international online event on June 21st, 2021!

The IE Day features a series of consecutive 2-hour sessions hosted on all continents. There will be more than 20 sessions running from 9am in Sydney to 4pm in San Francisco. Participants can join all sessions that conveniently fit to their local time. Sessions will feature various formats, including keynote talks, poster and oral presentations, panel discussions, networking events, ISIE section meetings, and more.

Participation in the IE day is free for all ISIE members. Access to the individual sessions will be provided via the ISIE website https://www.is4ie.org/. Non-ISIE members who would like to participate are asked to subscribe for an ISIE membership instead of paying a conference fee. The standard membership period is 2 years.
