About: Now in our 33rd year, the International Symposium on Sustainable Systems and Technologies (ISSST) is one of the longest-running research conferences related to sustainability and the intersection of technology, policy, and behavior. We are a non-profit (volunteer-run), vibrant community of engineers, scientists, professionals and educators, sharing cutting-edge research and forming interdisciplinary teams for future collaboration. This is a very friendly community that welcomes participation from both students and senior researchers; it traditionally has a strong tie to ISIE with overlapping attendees.

The ISSST 2026 Conference welcomes the submission of abstracts that apply methods used to define, design, assess, support, and/or implement technologies, policies, and systems for sustainability. Priority themes represented will include:
•       Agroecology, Industrial Ecology, and the Bioeconomy
•       Human dimensions of sustainability
•       Sustainability and resilience of energy systems
•       Sustainability and resilience of infrastructure systems
•       Sustainability education & communication
•       Innovative tools and methods in LCA and sustainability analysis
•       Other Creative Sustainability-Related Topics

Please visit the ISSST Homepage (https://issst.net/) for a more detailed set of topics and instructions as well as possible deadline extensions.
