Dear IS4IE Community,
happy to announce the date and venue of the 2025 Society and Materials Conference (SAM19):
SAM 19 will be hosted by University of Alcalá and take place from 6th to 7th of May 2025 in the historic buildings of one of the oldest Universities in Spain right in the heart of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), UN World Heritage Site with medieval flair, a vibrant city centre and pleasant mediterranean climate, only 30 km east of Madrid.
Since 19 years, the SAM Conferences aim at exchanging and developing inter-and multidisciplinary approaches for advancing science in fields related with materials, energy, society, sustainability and policy. They feature new methodological developments and innovative case studies that connect materials and society from different perspectives, ranging from social to engineering sciences, Industrial ecology, environmental economics, circular economy, ethics and policy.
Traditionally, we have a focus on LCA and MFA methods, but particularly welcome any other contribution that links materials with technology, energy / exergy, society or economy.
